We’re looking for a great Adobe Air Application Developer to help us create an application that will integrate our API!
Think Google Reader on steroids, with real-time notification!
Check the Notifixious API!
So, yes, we have a plain Javascript widget that anyone can use… but, let’s face it, my mom’s ability to install a Javascript widget on her blog is limited so, we’re looking for someone to create these widgets for us (of course, we will pay for them!).
So, if you know how to create a widget for any of these platforms, contact us :
Or, any other platform : contact us!

Notifixious is growing and growing! And the demand for widgets and plugins is growing as well!
We have already released a “standard” Javascript widget that any blogger can integrate on his blog, but users are now in need for a more advanced plugin that will allow them to “ping” Notifixious when they publish a new article.
We are looking for someone to create a Wordpress and/or a MovableType plugin that uses the Notifixious API!
If you’re the guy : contact us at developer@notifixio.us !
Notifixious can do IM through basically any taste of IM. Jabber’s gateways seemed like a good solution… it was not, so we’re switching to Libpurple/Pidgin, like the guys at Meebo did, for example.
For better performance, we’d rather use the C Api to create linux bots that can be reproduced in a few seconds to increase scalability!
We do not have the competency internally, so we’re looking for someone really good at C to build these bots! Are you the guy/gal?
Want to know what’s the kind of stuff we do, here at Notifixious? Check out our plugin : http://notifixio.us/sources/widgets
Are you a blogger? You can now offer your readers to receive emails, instant messages, text messages and much more when you publish a new article!
Ho, and, well, you can subscribe to this tumblr using Notifixous as well : check the right column!
Welcome here Railscasts’s fans!
We are sponsoring a few podcasts because we’re looking for great (or even more) Ruby On Rails engineers to join us! For now, we’re specifically looking for a CTO : the kind of guy/gal who wants to define the architecture of a great Web service, but also start building it, defining the schedule and hire the first few employees!
Interested? Drop me note at julien.genestoux@gmail.com !
Also, Notifixious is based in SF (and hosted at Parisoma), let’s definetely meet up if you want to talk : feel free to stop by!
I’ll be presenting at SFBeta tomorow, and I’ve got 2 tickets for the Techcrunch / August Capital annual gathering on friday : one of them is for you ;-)
At Notifixious we’re strong believers in Open Source. Notifixious makes already great use of many open source components and gems in particular.
However, it seems that some of the components that we would need don’t exist, and we really need them. We also think that we’re not the only ones who need them, so here is our deal : make them Open Source, and we will pay you for making them!
We need a Ruby Gem for Yahoo! Messenger. You think you can make it? Contact us: julien.genestoux AT gmail.com
Notifixious is a webservice dedicated to notification. Waht does that mean?
Notifixio.us allows web users to receive SMS Text, IM (Google Talk, AIM, MSN, …) when something new is publihsed on a site they like.
Our Alpha has been built with Ruby On Rails, on Amazon’s “cloudy” architecture and our notification engine uses XMPP.
We’re looking for someone to help us design the architecture, build a scalable web service, but also share our vision and build the strategy!
Ideally, you’ve already been part of a very early stage start-up, and a strong knowledge of the technologies discussed earlier, including these topcis : queuing, distributed architecture, parsing, Rest, API, scalability, background processing, deployment, … Also, it would greatly help if you live in the San Francisco Bay Area or if you’re ready to move here!
Do you think our name suck? You’re right and we count on you to help us find a better one!
We can discuss your “package” : salary + benefits + equity and we plan on raising some funding this fall : get in before to get more stock-options!
Interested by this? Feel free to contact me : julien.genestoux AT gmail.com
